Full professor at School of Public Health, Peking University. His main research areas are epidemiology of infectious diseases, focusing on the epidemiology of vaccine-preventable diseases, prevention strategy, mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B virus, and immunization of high-risk groups. He has undertaken more than 30 major special projects for the prevention and control of infectious diseases. He has published more than 350 papers on high quality journals, including more than 170 peer-reviewed papers as the first author or corresponding author, edited 5 monographs, and translated 1 book. He has participated in the formulation of 9 international standards and guidelines and 2 national infectious disease diagnostic standards. Cui Fuqiang is a member of Regional Validation Advisory Group of Western Pacific Region on HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis, chairman of the Working Committee for Promoting Elimination of Viral Hepatitis of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, vice chairman of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, chairman of the Hepatitis Prevention and Control Branch of the China Vaccine Industry Association, deputy editor-in-chief of Journal of Medical Virology, executive editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Preventive Medicine, and deputy editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Viral Diseases.
