Andrea Peloso, MD, PhD, PD is an HPB and transplant surgeon at the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève (HUG), Switzerland. His clinical practice focuses on liver, pancreas, and kidney transplantation, as well as hepato-biliary and pancreatic surgical oncology.
Dr. Peloso completed his medical degree and PhD in Experimental Surgery and Microsurgery at the University of Pavia, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM) in the United States. He subsequently held academic and clinical positions at HUG and completed a clinical research fellowship at the Centre Hépato-Biliaire, Paul Brousse Hospital / Université Paris-Saclay, France. He is also Privat-Docent at the University of Geneva.
His academic work bridges transplantation, surgical oncology, and regenerative medicine, with a particular focus on organ preservation and organ bioengineering.
