Dr Ashish Malik is a Senior Consultant and Lead , Liver Transplant Anaesthesia and Critical Care, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, India . Dr Malik graduated from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College , New Delhi and did a fellowship in Liver Transplant Anaesthesia from LHSC, London, University of Western Ontario, Canada. He is the past Chair of International Liver Transplant Society , Anaesthesia and Critical Care Committee (2023-2024) .
His key area of focus include Liver Transplant Anaesthesia being a part of a large volume LDLT programme in Apollo Hospitals since 2010. His work includes both operating rooms & intensive care units . His main clinical interests include intraoperative use of TEE , pain management and perioperative care for organ transplantation . He helped develop liver transplant anaesthesia fellowship programme , Apollo Delhi and is actively involved in training of fellows .
Dr. Malik has published scientific papers and contributed chapters in books on liver transplantation . He is a regular speaker at national and international conferences related to organ transplantation and has organized national level conferences on Liver Transplantation .
He has a keen interest on AI in healthcare and Healthcare analytics and is a part of group working on analytics after doing MBA from FMS , Delhi .
He was the founder Executive Council Member (Anaesthesia and Critical care) Liver Transplant Society of India (LTSI) 2018-2020 (1st Pan India Society of Liver Transplant Specialists) where he has been a part of the committee formulating Liver Transplant Anaesthesia Fellowship curriculum , (Pan India Accredited Fellowship) 2020 implemented by LTSI in 2021 .
He has been given the adjunct title of Distinguished Clinical Tutor by AHERF, Apollo Hospital and is also Hon. Fellow GAPIO ( Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin).
