Dr.Pooja completed her MD in Anaesthesia from Goa Medical College in 2008 (awarded the Indo-American Anaesthesiology Workshop Commemoration Gold Medal for standing first in MD, Anaesthesiology in Goa University), and a Fellowship in LT Anaesthesia at Hopital Paul Brousse, Villejuif, France in 2009-2010. With a work experience of more than 15 years, she is currently a Principal Consultant in the Department of GI and Liver Transplant Anaesthesia, at Medanta-The Medicity, a high-volume LT center having performed close to 5000 LTs till date. Dr.Pooja is a Faculty and guide for training of Candidates for DNB (Anaesthesia) and Fellowship in Liver Transplant Anaesthesia (under ICA) since 2014.
Dr.Pooja has a keen interest in academics and clinical research. In addition to contributing publications, textbook chapters and delivering invited Faculty lectures in the country and abroad in the field of LT Anaesthesia, Dr.Pooja has served as a Working Group Expert in the Living Donor Safety, Small for Size Syndrome, and ERAS4OLT Consensus Conferences under the aegis of the International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS), and was a Working Group Member of the ILTS/SATA project on Required Skills, Knowledge and Attitudes of the Liver Transplant Anaesthesiologist.
