Speaker Bio
Jana Manning is the Associate Public Health Advisor at the Coalition for Global Hepatitis Elimination. Before joining the Coalition, she spent two years as an ORISE fellow at the CDC parasitology branch working with Cyclospora Cayetanensis. She also worked on the COVID Response team as an operation coordinator in the Emergency Command Center with the field investigations team, and community intervention and critical populations teams. Jana went on to work as a surveillance epidemiologist for the Georgia Emerging Infections Program. Partnering with Emory University, Atlanta VA, and the CDC, she conducted active surveillance in an 8-county region for viral pathogens such as COVID, RSV, and influenza. Jana holds an MPH degree with a focus on Global Health, and she is currently pursuing a DrPH at Tulane University's School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She aspires to continue work globally in infectious disease, and epidemiology focused research.
