Dr Niamh Mehigan Farrelly is an Irish trained gastroenterologist and clinical fellow in transplant hepatology at the University Health Network, Toronto General Hospital. She completed her medical and science degrees at University College Dublin and postgraduate training in gastroenterology and hepatology in Ireland.
Her clinical and research interests include advanced liver disease, acute on chronic liver failure (ACLF), and liver transplantation. She is engaged in projects applying artificial intelligence to predict renal recovery after liver transplantation, examining MASLD in transplant recipients, and assessing clinical outcomes in patients with ACLF.
