Neal Shahidi is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of British Columbia with a focus on endoscopic resection techniques and third space endoscopy. He completed his interventional endoscopy fellowship at Westmead Hospital in Sydney Australia in 2020 and his Doctorate of Philosophy at the University of Sydney in 2023.
He is a 2023 Michael Smith Health Research BC Scholar and is supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research; having published over 210 peer-reviewed citations. He is the Co-Founder of the St. Paul’s Hospital Advanced Endoscopic Resection Centre (SPARC) and the Program Director of the UBC Luminal Interventional Endoscopy Fellowship. He has actively served on American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG) endoscopy-related committees.
