I am a professor in the Department of Immunology and Cellular Biology at the Université de Sherbrooke in Québec, Canada, where I began my academic journey and earned my Ph.D. in Cell Biology. Following my doctoral studies, I completed postdoctoral training in Genetics at the University of Pennsylvania, which deepened my understanding of genetic influences on cellular behaviour. In my current role, my research focuses on the interactions between gastrointestinal mesenchymal cell populations and epithelial cells. I aim to uncover the molecular communication pathways that influence epithelial cell behaviour, as disruptions in these interactions can lead to gastrointestinal diseases. Through this work, I hope to contribute to the development of innovative therapeutic strategies to enhance gut health and treat related disorders.
