Dr. Nicky Marwaha grew up in Montreal in her early years and learned to speak French at a very early age. She is fluent in 5 languages, including French, English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
Dr. Marwaha completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Ottawa in 2000, followed by a medical degree (MD) in 2004.
She completed her internal medicine and gastroenterology training at McMaster University. She graduated from the Gastroenterology program in 2010.
She currently works at the GI Health Centre, an out of hospital facility in Burlington, Ontario. It is the only all-female run GI facility in the province.
She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
