Dr. Nicola Jones is a Professor of Paediatrics and Physiology at the University of Toronto, Senior Scientist in the Cell Biology Program, and staff physician in the Division of GI/Heptology and Nutrition at SickKids. She is a recipient of a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Gastrointestinal and Liver Disease. She currently serves as the Director of the Integrated Physician Scientist Training Program at the University of Toronto. She is also a founding member and principal investigator for an innovative health research training platform “Training the Next generation of Researchers in GI and Liver (TRIANGLE)” which is funded by the Canadian Institute for Health Research. As a clinician scientist and pediatric gastroenterologist, her research focuses on understanding the mechanisms responsible for gastrointestinal inflammatory diseases including Helicobacter pylori.
