Dr. Swapnil Dhampalwar is a Clinical & Transplant Hepatologist with a focused clinical and academic interest in advanced liver disease, liver transplantation, and hepatobiliary disorders. He currently serves as a Senior Consultant in Hepatology at Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram, one of India’s leading centers for liver care and transplantation.

His clinical expertise spans the management of cirrhosis, acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF), viral hepatitis, metabolic liver disease (MASLD), and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), with a particular emphasis on pre- and post-liver transplant care. He is actively involved in multidisciplinary transplant programs and has significant experience in managing complex, high-risk liver patients.

Dr. Dhampalwar has a strong academic orientation and is deeply engaged in clinical research, including work on machine learning applications in predicting graft dysfunction and T cell–mediated rejection.

He is a regular faculty at national and international hepatology meetings, with a special interest in case-based interactive teaching and clinician education. He contributes to academic initiatives that promote practical, evidence-based hepatology, particularly for young clinicians.
