Dr. Xiangcheng Li has a highly specialized practice focused on (1) Hepatobiliary malignancy, particularly patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and hilar cholangiocarcinoma, and (2) Liver transplantation, which involves living donor liver transplantation. Dr. Li is the Director of Hepatobiliary Surgery, as well as a professor of surgery at Nanjing Medical University. His particular area of clinical expertise is in the radical resection of advanced hilar cholangiocarcinoma and liver transplantation. He and his team performed the first living donor liver transplantation in mainland of China. He was awarded the Best surgical video at the 2012 Conference of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association. Dr. Li is currently a member of the Biliary Tract Surgery Committee of the Chinese Medical Association. He has a membership of The Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT). He is also a member of the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS) as well as a member of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA). Dr. Li runs many highly productive research programs focused on liver ischemia-reperfusion injury in liver transplantation, genomic characteristics of cholangiocarcinoma, and the prognosis model of hepatobiliary malignancies, and has authored over 100 publications including Nature communications, Oncogene, J Immunother Cancer and Radiology
