Dr. Vipul Gautam is a pediatric transplant hepatologist with advanced training in pediatric medicine and hepatology (MD, DM). He currently serves as a Consultant at the Centre for Liver and Biliary Sciences, Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi, a high-volume living donor liver transplant center. His clinical work is focused on liver transplantation, including pre-transplant optimization, perioperative management, and long-term post-transplant care.
Following his DM, he completed a fellowship in transplant critical care at the National Center for Child Health and Development (NCCHD), Japan in 2024.
Dr. Gautam has authored 22 publications in peer-reviewed journals, along with 3 book chapters and e-learning modules in pediatric hepatology. His work has been recognized with multiple national and international honors, including the Young Investigator Award at the ESPGHAN 2024, ESPGHAN 2022, and APDW 2021, as well as a Travel Grant at APASL 2025. He was also awarded the Badge of Honour by Max Healthcare in 2024 and received a Research Grant from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in 2020.
His professional focus remains on advancing liver transplantation and improving outcomes through evidence-based and patient-centered care.
