Dr Rachana C Nair is an Anesthesiologist currently working at KIMSHEALTH hospital. She previously served as Senior Resident at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, a leading centre for liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery , where she gained extensive experience in transplant anesthesia and perioperative critical care.
Her clinical and academic interest focus on liver transplantation, perioperative medicine and regional anesthesia for major hepatobiliary surgery. Her research includes evaluation of analgesic strategies in live donor hepatectomy, with particular emphasis on External Oblique Intercostal Plane Block as an alternative to thoracic epidural analgesia. This work aims to optimise postoperative pain mangemant while improving recovery and minimising complications in living liver donors.
Dr Rachana is actively engaged in academic activities and has presented her work at various national forums. Through her clinical practice and research , she aims to contribute to improving perioperative care and outcomes in liver trasnplantation.
