Raffaella Viganò is a consultant hepatologist at the Hepatology and Gastroenterology Division of ASST Ospedale Niguarda, Milan. She has always worked in transplant hepatology units, initially in Modena, then in Bergamo and, since 2009, at Niguarda Hospital. Her clinical activity has consistently focused on the management of liver transplant, both in the pre‑ and post‑transplant setting. Since 2022, she has been Head of the Liver and Hepatitis Center, overseeing all outpatient care for patients with liver disease, and she has been awarded the advanced specialty designation for the management of liver transplant recipients. She also serves as the hepatology coordinator for the NIT.
