Dr. Zeynep Demir is a pediatric hepatologist specializing in liver transplantation and transplant immunobiology. She completed her medical degree at the Faculty of Medicine, Université Paris Cité, followed by a fellowship in pediatric hepatology and liver transplantation. She subsequently earned a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology at Université Paris Cité, with her doctoral and postdoctoral research conducted at the Paris Institute for Transplantation and Organ Regeneration.
Her research focuses on elucidating the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying liver transplant rejection, with a particular emphasis on improving the characterization and stratification of rejection phenotypes.
