Prof. Jiayin Yang serves as Director of General Surgery, Director of the Organ Transplantation Center and Liver Transplant Ward, Director of the Key Laboratory of Transplant Engineering and Immunology of the National Health Commission, and Director of the Organ Transplantation Research Institute of West China Hospital, Sichuan University. He is a Leading Talent in Scientific and Technological Innovation of the National Ten-Thousand Talents Program and Chief Expert of Major Special Projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. He has been honored with the titles of National Famous Doctor (Outstanding Virtue) and Tianfu Famous Doctor. He is a Member of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA) China Chapter, Associate Editor of the 10th Edition of Surgery (a planned textbook published by People's Medical Publishing House), and Editorial Board Member of multiple academic journals. As the first corresponding contributor, he won the First-Class Award of Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress in 2022.He performs over 800 grade IV surgeries annually. The team led by him has completed nearly 3,000 liver transplantations and more than 10,000 complex hepatobiliary surgeries, ranking among the top in China in both quantity and quality.
