Professor Shuhong Yi is a Professor and Chief Physician at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, the largest liver transplantation center in South China. He specializes in adult and pediatric liver transplantation with outstanding clinical outcomes in severe hepatitis, hepatocellular carcinoma, and pediatric transplantation.
He established a comprehensive pediatric liver transplant program and has performed nearly 400 pediatric liver transplant procedures. He pioneered national technical standards for split liver transplantation, developed innovative techniques, and increased the national application rate from 1% to over 8%.
Professor Yi has drafted several national expert consensuses and guidelines, and edited China’s first monograph on split liver transplantation.
