Dr. Lakshmi is a PhD research scholar in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kerala, India. Trained in Doctor of Pharmacy, her work integrates clinical pharmacology with transplant science.
Her doctoral research focuses on donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA) as an early biomarker of rejection and as a tool to guide immunosuppression in liver transplantation, within a randomized controlled trial framework. She has received research funding through the Liver Transplant Society of India (LTSI) Scholarship for Basic Research in support of her doctoral work.
