James Fung is a Consultant and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Medicine, and the Transplant Hepatologist at the Liver Transplant Centre, Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong. He is the immediate Past President of the Hong Kong Society of Transplantation and the Hong Kong Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and a Fellow of the American Association of the Study of Liver Diseases (FAASLD). Dr Fung currently serves on the Steering Committee on Prevention and Control of Viral Hepatitis in Hong Kong. Apart from clinical work and research, Dr Fung is also actively involved in organ donation promotion activities, serving on the organ donation committees of the Hong Kong Liver Foundation, Hong Kong Society of Transplantation, and the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.
