Jordi Colmenero, MD, PhD is the Medical Director of Liver Transplantation at the Liver Unit of Hospital Clínic Barcelona. He is an affiliated researcher at IDIBAPS, CIBERehd, and the University of Barcelona. Dr Colmenero’s clinical and research work focuses on liver transplantation: candidate selection (alcohol, ACLF, pretransplant cancer), alloimmune response and tailored immunosuppresion, postransplant complications and polycystic liver disease. He is the former Scientific Secretary of SETH, and contributed to national and international consensus initiatives and guidelines on liver transplantation, and has more than 100 publications.
