Dr Rahul Saxena is a consultant in Liver Transplantation Surgery at New Era Hospitals, Nagpur, MH (India). He is currently the Joint Secretary of the Liver Transplantation Society of India (LTSI), a member of the ILTS M & C committee and a member of the ROTTO- SOTTO Western India (the nodal authority for allocation & distribution of cadaveric organs in this region). He is an active member of the Local Zonal transplant coordination center (ZTCC) since 2017. His team is credited with performing the first Cadaveric liver transplant, 1st Live donor liver transplant and the 1st Multi-organ transplant (Liver-kidney) in the Central region of India in 2018. Currently his team performs around 60-75 liver transplants every year.
