Dr. Chiang is the Assistant Dean (Clinical Sciences R&D) at the LKS Faculty of Medicine and a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Oncology at the Centre of Cancer Medicine, University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Chiang completed his post-fellowship training in stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital. He specializes in the treatment of liver and pancreatic cancers; he is renowned for his pioneering work in combining SBRT with immunotherapy and developed a novel therapeutic approach known as START-FIT for treating unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma.

With over 80 publications in leading peer-reviewed journals - including The Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology, JAMA Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Gut, The Lancet Regional Health Western Pacific, Liver Cancer, and JAMA Network Open - Dr. Chiang has made significant contributions to advancing cancer therapeutics. He currently serves as President of the Hong Kong Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy Study Group, Principal of the Training Centre of Radiotherapy and Oncology at Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong, and Principal Investigator at the State Key Laboratory of Liver Research, University of Hong Kong.
