Julie Corkrean is the Director of Abdominal Transplant Services and Hepatology clinics Houston Methodist Hospital.
Prior to her tenure at Houston Methodist, Julie held several leadership roles in transplant services, including Manager of Solid Organ and Bone Marrow Transplant Services at Kaiser Permanente in Denver, Colorado, and earlier as a Transplant Coordinator for the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program at UCLA. She began her nursing career as a travel nurse, specializing in acute dialysis.
Julie is the current co-chair of the Allied Health Committee for the International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS) and previously served as a Board Member for the American Liver Foundation from 2012 to 2016 demonstrating her long-standing commitment to advancing liver disease awareness, advocacy, and patient care. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Montana State University and an MBA from Western Governors University.
