Dr C. Vinaixa graduated in the faculty of Medicine at Valencia University, Spain, in 2006. She obtained her specialization in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at La Fe University Hospital in 2011. During this training period she developed a particular interest in the field of liver transplantation. She completed her training at the Centre Hépatobiliaire, Paul Brousse Hospital, Villejuif, France. She obtained the Diploma in Transplant Medicine of the European Board of Transplant Medicine in 2015. Her fields of interest are liver transplantation, viral hepatitis and, particularly, HIV/HCV coinfected patients. She has been actively involved in ILTS: she was a member of the Vanguard Committee from 2019 to 2024, and co-chair of the Infectious Diseases SIG from 2023 to 2025. She has participated in several Consensus Conferences.
