Dr. Nassir Thalji serves as an Abdominal Transplant Surgeon and is the Medical Director of Abdominal Transplant Research at the Methodist Transplant Institute in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his medical education at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom before relocating to the United States, where he earned a PhD in Clinical and Translational Sciences. Dr. Thalji went on to complete his General Surgery residency and advanced Multi-Organ Abdominal Transplant Fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, and is an active member of the ASTS and ILTS.
