Prof. Liying Sun is the Director of the Department of Critical Liver Diseases at Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University, Beijing, China. She is also the Deputy Director of the Clinical Center for Pediatric Liver Transplantation.
Prof. Sun serves on multiple committees of the International Liver Transplantation Society, including the Infectious Diseases and Liver Transplantation Special Interest Group and the Acute Liver Failure Special Interest Group.Prof. Sun has extensive experience in the management of critically ill patients with liver diseases and liver transplantation, with a particular focus on perioperative care, postoperative complications, and pediatric liver transplantation.She has published over 140 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to 15 academic books. Her research interests include acute liver failure, transplant-related infections, and perioperative management of liver transplantation. She has led and participated in multiple national research projects and has made significant contributions to the field of critical care in liver transplantation in China.In March 2021, she was highlighted by the ILTS as one of three women who made outstanding contributions to the field of liver transplantation.
