Dr Sanjiv Saigal is working as Vice Chairman & Head - Hepatology and Liver Transplant at Max Hospital, Saket, Delhi, India. He has spearheaded the medical team of liver transplantation in India for over 24 years, with an experience in dealing with more than 5500 liver transplants, both living donor and cadaveric. He was instrumental in establishing the first successful Transplant Hepatology program in India. He has numerous publications and is a regular speaker in National and International meetings. He has authored three books namely “Recent Advances in Hepatology”, “Handbook of Liver Emergencies” and “Fundamentals of Transplant Heptology”. He has been an active member of ILTS in Education Committee, Membership Committee and Infectious Disease SIG. He served as the President of Liver Transplant Society of India (LTSI, 2025).
