Laura Rubbia-Brandt is chairwoman of Diagnostic Department and head of the Division of Clinical Pathology, Geneva University Hospital Switzerland and full Professor in pathology where she teaches GI and liver Pathology at Geneva Medical School. She received her medical education at the University of Geneva, and her specialty training notably at Division of Clinical Pathology, Geneva University Hospital Switzerland and Paris, France and London,England.
She has been president of Swiss Hepato-Biliary pathology group, section of the Swiss society of pathology, president of the Swiss society of pathology, active member of the board of the Swiss association of study of liver, referent pathologist of the Swiss Hepatitis C Cohort Study Group, and member in GI pathology group of the Swiss Institute for Applied Cancer Research, member of the Unites state and Canadian academy of pathology (USCAP), Hans Pooper Liver pathology society, Laennec liver international pathology expert group and the International Academy of Pathology (IAP).
Laura Rubbia Brandt is the author of more than 320 scientific articles, book chapters and reviews. Her research interests are notably pathogenesis of chemotherapy associated liver injury after chemotherapy, vascular lesion of the liver and colorectal metastasis.
She has a leading contribution in innovation in medicine notably in the deployment of digital pathology and computational pathology and implementation of IA in clinical pathology.
