Dr Patel is a Consultant in General Intensive Care, Liver Intensive Care & ECMO at King's College Hospital and Cleveland Clinic London. He is Clinical lead for Cardiac Critical Care and ECMO at King’s College Hospital, and member of the ILTS Anaesthesia and Critical Care Committee and the Cardiovascular SIG. His specialist areas of interest include: acute liver failure, acute on chronic liver failure, hepatopulmonary syndrome, portopulmonary hypertension and management of right heart dysfunction, and all forms of extracorporeal support including ECMO peri-liver transplantation.
