Professor of Tropical Medicine and Hepatology at Ain Shams University, she is a Transplant Hepatologist and Physician Scientist in Ain Shams Center for Organ Transplantation (ASCOT) from 2008 till now. Special research interest in viral hepatitis, Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), immunosuppression and living donor liver transplantation (LDLT). She has published more than 60 peer-reviewed international publications on gastrointestinal and liver diseases and is a reviewer for many international journals. She is a member of the African Society of Organ transplantation (ASOT), The Transplantation Society (TTS) and the currant vice chair of Diversity, equality and inclusion (EDI) Committee of the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS).Dr Montasser is a part of the Equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) committee of ILTS since 2022 and has actively participated in the ILTS ERAS4OLT consensus conference 2022 .She was the organizer of Regional Expansion Advanced Learning (REAL) for Africa from 2022 to 2025.Regional leader for the THINK collaboration
