Keri E. Lunsford MD, PhD, FACS is a liver transplant surgeon-scientist and the Director of Transplant Research in the Division of Transplant and Hepatobiliary Surgery at Rutgers NJMS, where she also serves as the Director of Translational and Surgical Science and is a member of the Center for Immunity and Inflammation. Her research interests include liver transplant oncology, transplant recipient frailty, malnutrition, immune dysfunction, and hypothermic oxygenated machine perfusion. Dr. Lunsford received her MD/PhD from Ohio State, followed by a general surgery residency at Duke and a transplant/hepatobiliary surgery fellowship at UCLA. Her research is funded by the NIDDK, NCI, NIAID, Feldstein Medical Foundation, and American Society of Transplant Surgeons.
