Dr. Parastou Khalessi Hosseini is a pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition fellow at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and a Post-doctoral T32 Fellow in Translational Research in Hepatology at the University of Southern California (USC). She joined The Emamaullee Transplant Lab at the start of her fellowship, focusing on current diagnostic strategies and limitations of antibody-mediated rejection in pediatric liver transplantation. Under the mentorship of Dr. Emamaullee, she integrates her clinical experience as a GI fellow with translational research to better understand the immunologic mechanisms driving AMR, identify biomarkers of disease activity, and develop standardized approaches to diagnosis and management. Dr. Khalessi Hosseini is dedicated to improving pediatric liver transplant outcomes and preventing graft loss in this vulnerable patient population.
