Dr. Emamaullee is the Director of Transplant Research for the Transplant Institute at the University of Rochester. She is a transplant surgeon-scientist who has dedicated her academic and clinical career to the care of pediatric and adult patients with liver disease, having developed an extramurally funded translational research program in liver transplantation, transplant immunology, and systems biology. The Emamaullee lab has gained recognition for their application of single cell and computational biology approaches to examine patient samples and study human liver disease in a way that has never been possible. She has ongoing collaborations with investigators related to metastatic cancer, kidney transplant rejection, immune frailty, and liver disease in patients with Fontan physiology. Within the ILTS, Dr. Emamaullee serves as the Chair of the Basic and Translational Science Committee and Co-Chair of the Grants Committee.
