Jacopo Belfiore, MD, is an anesthesiologist and intensivist at the Transplant Anesthesia and Critical Care Unit of the University of Pisa, Italy, and is currently completing a PhD program. His clinical and research interests focus on perioperative and critical care management of liver transplant recipients, with particular emphasis on hemostasis, viscoelastic testing, blood management, and sepsis in end-stage liver disease. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications in international journals, including Liver Transplantation, and is actively involved in translational and clinical research aimed at improving outcomes in liver transplantation.
