Chiara Becchetti, MD, PhD candidate, is a consultant hepatologist at the Hepatology and Gastroenterology Division of ASST Ospedale Niguarda, Milan. She is also a PhD candidate in Health Sciences at the University of Bern, Inselspital, Bern, Switzerland. She holds the Italian Association for the Study of the Liver (AISF) Diploma in Transplant Hepatology and is a member of the Permanent Liver Transplant Committee (CPT) of AISF. She is also a member of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee of the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS) and of the SIG Gender in Hepatology of AISF. She serves as Associate Editor of Transplant International. Her clinical and research interests focus on liver transplantation, portal hypertension, post-transplant complications, frailty and sarcopenia, metabolic liver disease, and gender disparities in access to liver transplantation.
