Passionate about Formula 1 and Shih Tzus, as well as her hometown, Florianópolis in southern Brazil, she is a clinical researcher at the Schlegel Lab under the supervision of Dr. Andrea Schlegel at Cleveland Clinic. She spent part of her childhood in the Amazon region and lived in more than ten brazillian cities before moving to the United States. Her work focuses on the application of machine learning in complex transplant settings, including combined liver transplantation with cardiac surgery and heart transplantation, as well as transplant oncology. She leads the cardiac research subcommittee in liver transplant patients under the mentorship of Dr. Maan Fares and Dr. Jamak Modaresi Esfeh.
