Speaker Bio
I am an attending physician in the Cardiac Critical Care Unit at Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), Switzerland, with a clinical focus on the management of complex cardiac medical and surgical patients, including those requiring extracorporeal life support. My expertise lies in cardiac intensive care, with particular emphasis on cardiogenic shock and mechanical circulatory support. I am also actively involved in the pulmonary hypertension (HTAP) program of my Hospital.
I completed two fellowships that have shaped my clinical and academic profile. At King’s College Hospital (London, UK), I notably trained in the Liver Intensive Care Unit, gaining experience in the management of liver failure and transplantation. I subsequently pursued a fellowship at the Institut de Cardiologie at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital (Paris, France), where I specialized in cardiac critical care and the management of advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock and refractory ARDS.
My current clinical and research interests focus on the physiological optimization of mechanical circulatory support in AMI-CS .
