Florent Artru, MD, PhD, is a transplant hepatologist and intensivist. He trained in hepato-gastroenterology and critical care in Lille and at Paul Brousse Hospital, within the Liver Intensive Care Units led by Professors Philippe Mathurin and Didier Samuel. In 2021, he was awarded the prestigious EASL–Joan Rodès Fellowship and joined the McPhail Lab at King’s College Hospital (London). He obtained a PhD in Immunology focusing on lipid inflammatory mediators in alcohol-related hepatitis and acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF).
He is currently Associate Professor at Rennes University Hospital, where he leads and contributes to national and international clinical and translational research programs in acute liver failure, ACLF, and portal hypertension, with a strong focus on prognostic stratification and transplant-related outcomes.
