Dr. Maluf is a transplant surgeon with more than 19 years of experience in clinical and translational research. He is a Tenured Professor of Surgery, Director of Transplant Unit and Vice Chair Department of Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and manages IMS and transplant patients clinically. He has expertise in kidney, liver, liver transplant, living donor liver, pancreas, and renal transplantation. In liver transplantation, Dr. Maluf’s primary interest is in ischemia-reperfusion injury and precisely how to target pathways with therapeutic interventions.
